This is a unique commemorative of the S.S. Grand View Point Hotel, a steamboat in the Allegheny Mountains in Pennsylvania. Made by distinctive Staffordshire Ware in England, this edition was imported by Captain H. Paulson. Although commission date of plate is unknown, the hotel was active 1927-2001 and was once listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 until 2002. Plate is 7.5" in diameter with burgundy color design and is clearly marked on the back. Very good condition - no chips or crazing.
